4 Stars Works
Takes a charge, works in device – how long the power lasts remains to be seen, but at the price if it approximates 75% of the OEM battery I’ll be satisfied.

4 Stars Works!
Well, what can I say, it works! Don’t know whether it’s better, the same, or worse than the stock battery. I just alternated the batteries each day and then used the camera. One didn’t seem better than the other. In fact, to be honest, unless you do a TON of diving and recording I’m not 100% sure you’ll even need the extra battery. I shot a LOT of underwater video and never got the “low battery” message. But I guess it’s not a bad idea to be prepared.

5 Stars It works the same as the original Sanyo battery
I made a 2 1/2 hours non stop video taping yesterday, the original Sanyo battery low signal came out around 55 minutes, and die around 75 minutes. this battery came out around 55 minutes after I put it into my Sanyo Xacti camera, die around 75 minutes too.

5 Stars good backup battery
I bought this for a Sanyo Xacti E2. I haven’t done any rigid testing to compare against the original Sanyo battery’s life, but I also didn’t notice any difference in battery life while using it. Highly recommended as a solid backup battery.

4 Stars Fits VPC-e2!
I’ve bought a few DB-L20 “compatible” batteries to work with my xacti vpc-e2. NONE of them worked. They were all slightly too large and became lodged in my camera. It took pliers to remove them!

So when I saw this battery I was skeptical becuse it doesn’t flat out say that it is compatible with the vpc-e2. I saw a review that said it works with it, so I thought I would give it a try…

It fits! So if you own a vpc-e2 and don’t want to spend $40 for an official sanyo battery, i recommend it! It actually slides in and out better than the stock battery. I haven’t checked how long it holds a charge yet, so I can’t comment on that. I’m just happy I found a battery that fits!

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great buy, a few cons
This is my first netbook, and it is, I believe, the best of the bunch.

Pros

great battery life (8 hours or so)

Very light

Looks great

Quick charge

Has webcam+mic

supports up to 2GB RAM

big hard drive

touchpad driver is efficient

excellent keyboard

Cons

shiny top is idiotic, scratches and fingerprints are constant

should have the newest Atom processor, the 1.8GHz N280 instead of the 1.6GHz N270

5400RPM drive is slow

not x86-64 compatible processor

touchpad is tiny and slick, with bad indicators for where the borders are

webcam is mediocre

no wireless-n or bluetooth

overheats easily

speakers are weak

headphone jack is tricky– it screws up the sound unless you pull the plug out of the jack about a dime’s width

no DVD drive

The complaints are easy to ignore but would be great if fixed. I barel didn’t give this product 5 stars. I would say that two or so cons fixed would tip it over the edge. A great buy overall, though. Get the Acer Aspire One Accessory Kit for a good drive. The mouse in the kit fixes all touchpad complaints, and the case prevents too many scratches.

4 Stars As good as expected
I tried an 8.9″ netbook and my fingers (even though I don’t have large hands) just didn’t fit the keyboard comfortably. I took my new Acer Aspire One on a trip and my traveling companion who had purchased the smaller one was very envious of mine because it is so much easier to use and also of the 160 gig hard drive.. I get about 5 hours of battery life with the 6 cell version. I am really pleased about that. The smaller screen is inconvenient with some software but it is okay considering how much easier it is to transport than my full size laptop. I was writing an application with Microsoft Access and it was difficult to see the screens. No regrets.

5 Stars Nice Netbook
It does the job that you want it to do. It’s very convenient for travel and you can take it with you on the roof of your house and chill.

4 Stars Anyone who owns one of these tested the wattage with a Kill-a-Watt Meter?
If so, would you please do me a favor and report the real-world average wattage a 10.1 inch Acer Aspire 0150 pulls during typical use?

I need to know because I live on solar power and my total daily watt hours are limited to 1,100.

My current little laptop, a 2005 Averatec 3700, pulls 28 to 32 watts most of the time. I want to find a zippy netbook with at least 1.5 ghz processor that uses between 12 and 20 watts. And it needs to have a comfortable keyboard. I’m a fast touch typist and need a logical, relatively normal keyboard.

The Dell Mini 10 inch seems to fit some of the bill. I plugged a display model at Best Buy into my Kill-a-Watt and booted the computer and used Windows Media Player and had a hard time getting the computer to draw more than 14 watts and often it was drawing only 12. However, the computer was terribly sluggish. I don’t want a sluggish computer. And the touchpad pointer was not responsive, even after I went into Control Panel and tweaked its settings.

Surprisingly, I can’t find a single Acer 10.1 inch model locally. Have called and walked around to all the likely stores. In fact, am having a hard time finding the 8-inch ones now. They were all over before Christmas.

Did find one 8-inch screen display model at a Wal-Mart and tested it. It seemed quick and responsive. But was shocked to see it pulling 24 to 28 watts — and occasionally higher — during simple, routine use. Not even more than one window open.

Can’t imagine that this model with a larger screen would pull less — unless Acer has made some efficiency improvements. But I sure like the Acers and after reading close to a hundred of these reviews, was pretty convinced I was going to order one. (Until I tested the wattage of the 8-inch model. Now I’m frustrated.)

Am hoping someone out there who owns one of these also owns a Kill-a-Watt meter and will take the couple minutes to plug the Acer into it and watch the readings as they surf the web and maybe play a video. And then report here? Please?

Also, if anyone knows the difference between the 0150 and 0250 (just out as I write this), could you detail it?

Thanks,

kwc

5 Stars Nice little netbook
This is a great little gadget for anyone who wants a convenient way to surf the web or manage e-mails. The keyboard is more compact than a typical notebook and takes some getting used to, but that is to be expected for a small netbook. It is worth the extra dollars to invest in the 6 cell battery; the charge lasts approximately 7 hours. Also, I think it is worth the extra few dollars to purchase this 10 inch screen model, rather than the less expensive nine-inch model; the extra inch makes a big difference, particularly for those of us who are entering our “bifocal years”! While the six cell battery and larger screen make this model a bit less compact than the smaller, three cell battery model, it is still a very portable unit, lightweight and about the size of a hardback book. Overall, a great value!

1 Star Chinese Knockoff

Great price but charger doesn’t work. Shows that is charging but never registers on the Blackberry. Typical Chinese product, looks great but doesn’t work.

5 Stars It’s All It Is Supposed To Be
What can I say? This charges my Blackberry and it was a fantastic price.

4 Stars Blackberry Car Charger
Product works as described. The charger has an indicator light to tell when a power connection is made. Angle of the charger head is helpful too!

5 Stars Bob,s charger
I have used numerous chargers that did not work well due to poor cable and /or cheap hardware. This one has worked flawlessly since day one. The weight and feel of this charger leads one to believe it will not only work but will hold up under every day general use. It does just that. I definitely reccommend this charger for your Blackberry.

5 Stars never leave hime with out it
I never leave home with the DC car cord for my blackberry. The battery life is not the best for the phone, so the DC charger comes in real handy. The coiled cord works out real well

Nyrius Global ENTOURAGE7 Talking Travel Translator for 7 International Languages

Talking Translator/ 7 Language

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Interesting product
This works really well, but I’m not sure how practical it is at the end of the day. Yes, it’s smaller than bringing a book along — particularly if you’re off to Europe where you’d need several books! But, the notion of stopping down to sort through the menus and find the translations seems like it would be more annoying in the long run.

Still, having this along for a trip would probably be helpful and if you’re foreign language challenged, this little device could certainly help get you out of a jam!

5 Stars Excellent Touring Tool
This travel translator exceeded my expectations. It has all the phrases you would want for an average tourist. It is extremely user friendly. The translator is easy to hear and understand the translation as it is spoken. I did extensive research on talking translators and this one is the best value out there. I would highly recommend this travel translator to anyone travelling that knows nothing about the native language of the country they are visiting.

4 Stars Useful
I am qualified to review the Spanish language tool in this device, and it is perfectly adequate for the usual tourist needs. I’m less qualified to review the French and Italian tools, but they seem fine. The user interface is easy and straightforward. It’s light and pocket-sized. Battery life seems good. I’ll take it on my next trip to China.

4 Stars Pretty good tool
Well I read all the reviews before I purchased, this is a nice little tool and comes in very handy. What you should know is if you need a phrase you’re probably not going to find it quickly enough to use unless you already have it stored in your favorites. Even if you do, if you have quite a few in your favorites you may have the same problem.

The phrases are categorized by broad heading, there aren’t as many useful phrases as I had hoped.

Since I’m learning Mandarin it’s a step in the right direction.

3 Stars Needs improvement! A book is faster!
I got this Nyrius Global translator just in time for my trip to Europe. It was indeed small and pocketable, about the size of a deck of cards. While it’s awesome it translates up to 7 languages, it is missing the key ingredient in making it functional – ease of use.

I like the small size but the small, irregular size buttons make this difficult to use. The black and white (80’s/90’s) style LCD screen also make this hard to see and use in the 21st century! You can probably find something better on PDAs and those everything-phones and not have to carry an extra gadget around.

Anyhows, I usually never have to bother with reading instruction manuals, but in this case it was necessary after flipping through the numerous categories for travel, food, hotel, etc…and that’s alot times 7 languages!

I like the ability to translate/talk from the native language to the selected one, and vice-versa, however it takes alot of button-pushing to arrive at your chosen phrase. And by that time, I’m sure you could have already hand-gestured what you needed to the other person. It is a hassle to go through the many steps, but luckily there is a save favorite phrases button. There’s also a helpful backlight for when you’re traveling and it’s dark out.

I don’t know any of the languages on there except English and Mandarin Chinese, but some of the translations from the latter aren’t exactly correct, or it’s phrased so formally and not casual speak. I would assume that goes for all the 7 languages translated, so just beware.

I can’t say I recommend this over just getting a small book of travel phrases and highlighting useful pages, this will definitely be faster, but you don’t get the talking part, which is useful if you’re actually wanting to learn how to say something.

5 Stars Works just like the OEM version
I haven’t had any issues with my spare battery for my Dash works just like the OEM one. Seems to hold a charge just the same (which isn’t fabulously long). Having a couple spares helps when I can’t charge my phone.

5 Stars 2 days without recharge
Great replacement battery. The original battery only lasted half a day of use. Now it last two days on a single charge. I am a heavy phone user, plus I use the bluetooth while I am in the car. I have not tried with WIFI enbaled yet since the WIFI module in this design tends to drain the battery fast.

3 Stars Good price, different specs
I was glad to find a replacement battery that didn’t cost a fortune. So far it works good. Will last a day with moderate talk. Only complaint is it is different specs than the OEM. OEM is 3.7v and 960mAh. The new on eis 37v 1050mAh. I think this means it should last longer but seems to be the same or a little less.

5 Stars htc dash battery review
is what it is. great battery, holds a long charge.

and it arrived well before i had anticipated! (>_< )

4 Stars TMobile Dash – replacement battery
This has been an excellent purchase. Battery life is great and I have no concerns now that I’ll be without juice for any part of the day.
