5 Stars It’s a battery charger…
It does what it’s supposed to do, it charges Canon BP series batteries. I have tried this with 3 different batteries (BP-807, BP-808, BP-819) and all charge fine. A must have item, if you plan on properly maintaining your batteries. Beware of imitations that don’t contain the appropriate charging circuitry.

The battery that comes with the Canon HG20 is okay. This battery does give me a lot more hours to play with. The only thing that I don’t like is that it is a bit expensive. If you are going on a vacation or something like that then I do recommend getting this battery since it holds more power for longer recording time.

Works as advertised. I use it when I am taping my son’s Ultimate Frisbee games. I can plug it into my car inverter and charge a battery while I am using another. It is compact and the plug folds away…no cords to mess with. The battery snaps into place in the charger…plug it in and wait for the light to change color on the charger…done. Very happy with it.

2 Stars Disk crashed
When downloading videos from this disk to my computer, the disk crashed. It lost its partition information. Fortunately, my son was able to go beneath the partition level and rescue my videos. I don’t know if the crash was the fault of the disk, or the USB transfer device I was using. The camera was not involved in the transfer. The crash is a serious – even fatal error, but I am not sure that it was the fault of the SanDisk.

The compatible batteries for the cannon pro-shot arrived promptly. As expected though they do not last as long as the OEM battery.

each charge can take up to 100+ pictures, I have it for a week, it may last for couple months:(

1 Star Lower power knock off…

This battery produces less power (780mAh) compared to the Canon battery at 1120mAh. A 33% difference. This also affects sustained power available to the camera to charge the flash or operate lens motors, and decreases the amount of useful battery life you’ll receive.

I would get one of these as a back-up, but I would not depend on it one bit. If Canon specifies a 1120mAh battery, they do so because it will work reliably in the camera over its entire temperature range (and over the life of the camera) to give you predictable and reliable performance. Using a lower power battery could cause any number of intermittent, nagging problems (that I’ve experienced all too much as a photographer.)

Buyer beware.
