Well, what can I say, it works! Don’t know whether it’s better, the same, or worse than the stock battery. I just alternated the batteries each day and then used the camera. One didn’t seem better than the other. In fact, to be honest, unless you do a TON of diving and recording I’m not 100% sure you’ll even need the extra battery. I shot a LOT of underwater video and never got the “low battery” message. But I guess it’s not a bad idea to be prepared.

5 Stars It works the same as the original Sanyo battery
I made a 2 1/2 hours non stop video taping yesterday, the original Sanyo battery low signal came out around 55 minutes, and die around 75 minutes. this battery came out around 55 minutes after I put it into my Sanyo Xacti camera, die around 75 minutes too.

I bought this for a Sanyo Xacti E2. I haven’t done any rigid testing to compare against the original Sanyo battery’s life, but I also didn’t notice any difference in battery life while using it. Highly recommended as a solid backup battery.

4 Stars Fits VPC-e2!
I’ve bought a few DB-L20 “compatible” batteries to work with my xacti vpc-e2. NONE of them worked. They were all slightly too large and became lodged in my camera. It took pliers to remove them!

So when I saw this battery I was skeptical becuse it doesn’t flat out say that it is compatible with the vpc-e2. I saw a review that said it works with it, so I thought I would give it a try…

It fits! So if you own a vpc-e2 and don’t want to spend $40 for an official sanyo battery, i recommend it! It actually slides in and out better than the stock battery. I haven’t checked how long it holds a charge yet, so I can’t comment on that. I’m just happy I found a battery that fits!

This works great, but does not come with a synch button like the original. That does not impede its asset of being both sych and power in one unit.

It’s an OK cable – it took a few times of wiggling to get it to connect cleanly, but seems to have “broken in” so it’s fine now. Only negative is that it doesn’t have a sync button, but that’s no real problem.

1 Star Don’t really need it
Well, this is a strange kind of review as I never used it, BUT that’s because we didn’t need it. I thought it was a smart purchase as a way to protect the camera from sinking to the bottom of the ocean but I found that if we were careful when passing the camera back and forth between my wife and I we didn’t need the extra hassle of the velcro wrist strap. Using the strap that comes with the camera was enough for us.

4 Stars Note: E1 only!
Folks: The more recent model – the E2 – is only one ounce heavier, but there is no leash (this or the Ebay one) that will float it.

3 Stars It is what it is.
I bought this for my recent trip and bought it with the Exacti 2. PROS It came as expected and on time. MINUS It doesn’t allow the camera to float even a little to give you a chance to grab it. RECOMMENDATION Buy, you need a good strap and use it.

5 Stars A must for underwater photography
If you intend to use the Xacti underwater, this strap is a must. It held the camera securely but was easy enough to undo to switch users. I can not see how we could have used the camera underwater without this leash.

I purchased this item at the same time I bought my waterproof camcorder,thinking it was a must have.So far that is not the case.I found that where I have used my camcorder,(swimming pools, water slides,and amusement park water rides), this item was a waste of money.The factory leash so far has served me quite well.I gave this item a 4 star rating because next year I will truly test it out with a trip to Hawaii.So just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t work for others.Good product ,just not very useful for me so far.
