5 Stars Definitely a good cable for the price
First, those who insist that there is no difference between a high end cable and an inexpensive one are simply wrong. There is a quite discernible difference between a high quality gold plated cable and a cheap one. I definitely recommend getting a 3′ or 6′ cable for hooking up your Blu-ray player to your 1080 HD TV. The difference isn’t huge, but it is perceptible.

However, it would be hugely expensive to get a very long HDMI cable and there is just no way to justify the price in my mind. I wanted to get a couple of very long HDMI cables to enable me to hook up my laptop to my 46 inch 1080 Samsung TV. I am a Netflix customer and as a result I get several hours each month of things that I can stream from their website. I can now use my laptop to put this on my big screen TV rather than watch it on my laptop. I also wanted the option of being able to stream shows off the various TV websites, including those of the major networks as well as Hulu. My laptop also has a Blu-ray player, but my laptop’s Blu-ray using either the 15′ or 25′ cable cannot match the PS3 with the 6′ gold plated cable. Besides, replacing the Blu-ray drive on my laptop would be pricey, so it is better to save wear and tear and use the PS3 instead.

So I ordered this 25′ cable as well as a 15′ cable. The picture you get from the 15′ is mildly better than that on the 25′ cable, though both are pretty good. And the price was right for both of them. However, I find that the 25′ cable is just longer than I need for any scenario that I’ve been able to come up with. As a rule of thumb, don’t use a cable any longer than you are going to need. The longer the cable, the more the quality of the image will be degraded. If you can get away with a 10′ cable, then do so. I’ve learned empirically that I need the 15′ when I sit on my recliner with my laptop in my . . . well, lap, and watch TV. But others might need a 25′, while others just the 10′.

3 Stars Want to be stopped by TSA?
I bought one of these beanbag mounts as I am in a rental car around 3 times a month and I wanted my own GPS rather than pay to rent one. I have a TomTom Go-930 which is not small but which comes with a short fixed arm on a suction mount. When I tried to attach the mount to the beanbag – I found that the power cable which is on the underside of the Go930 actually protruded below the level of the beanbag. The plug rested on the beanbag base and the Go930 bounced off the mount.

I had 2 spare mounting disks – so I stuck them one on the other then onto the base of the beanbag. This lifted the base of the Go930 sufficiently that the beanbag now worked. It must be said that it works well and doesn’t leave a suction cup ‘ring’ on the windshield that attracts car thieves.

It is amazing that the designers did not step through the TomTom product line checking such a basic design issue as whether the suction arms lifted the GPS high enough. This amounts to just careless design.

Finally – as I said at the beginning I bought the beanbag so that I could use the GPS on rental cars – only I fly to where I pick up the cars. TSA go into bad wobble-mode when they see this thing on their x-rays and call for a check on lane. If you do need to travel with it – carry it separately through security in its own tray like a laptop. It doesn’t stop the wobble mode but at least they don’t insist on emptying your carry-on.

1 Star the Go 720 does not fit well
I am very dissapointed with this dash mount. the unit looks nice and stays on the dash. but the winshield mounting post that comes with the Go 720 is too short. If you are on a short trip and do not need the unit plugged into the car power source this would be ok. I travel longer than the battery will last and need the unit plugged into the cigarette lighter, but the mount post is too short to allow any of the cords to be plugged into the bottom of the GPS without having the unit tilted up so high that it is not readable. I also use the speaker output jack to run the sound through the car stereo, this forces the GPS to need to be tilted even farther.

Conclusion: Poor design for anything but a short trip not needing the connectors on the bottom of the GPS…

3 Stars Great, but needs a little extra help
Much needed product – we found a way to make it work better. The unit is a little heavy, so we used the ram ball system to enhance and a better glue pad – WORKS GREAT NOW!!

3 Stars TomTom Dashboard Mount
I was disappointed that the mount needs to be attached to the dashboard because I need to use my TomTom in more than one car. There was only one adhesive mounting hook. This was not clear in the promotional material.

This product is just what I wanted. It works great and I like that I can place my GPS anywhere on my dash or console so everyone is my truck can see it easily.

so far i have know problems with this item but i only had it 2 month, only time will tell in about six month how long the life of this battery will last.

3 Stars Inconsistent, but improving, performance
This battery would not fully charge at first, and I requested an RMA# for returning it, which I was promptly given from the vendor. However, after using it for another week, the performance improved somewhat. It is still inconsistent; after charging all day and night, sometimes it shows 100% and sometimes 25%, or anything in between. If I unplug and replug the power adaptor into the laptop, it begins charging again. I’m not totally sure that the power adaptor isn’t at fault, so I am rating the battery 3 stars. Any comments on this from those more knowledgeable?

When fully charged, it will give several hours of constant computer use. It is marked “Dell” as advertised. It is useable and I need a battery, so I’ve decided to keep it. I’m not tech savvy, so use your own judgment here.

5 Stars Good for travel
This item is excellent for when you are traveling and don’t want to bring a laptop and don’t have access to a computer with ITunes etc. Also great for the home for quick charging.

1 Star not satisfactory
I was disappointed with this item. I wanted a charger that would work on dual voltage, as most electronic chargers now do, but this one only worked on 110 voltage. Since I was purchasing it to take with me on a trip to Europe, it was not acceptable and I had to send it back. It would have been helpful to have this stated more clearly in the specifications. I had to ask.

Imagine carrying a USB converter almost the size of your hand, imagine trying to pack that in a luggage where its almost full! But now, better than ever, a small USB converter can give you a head ache free by storing it more easily and carrying it more efficiently because of weight and size. The color is white so even the florescent light can help find this piece of equipment in the dark.

The only pain that will occur is that if there is a power cut or if the owner is traveling to a country which does not use the same plug as the adapter. This may allow you to miss your music for awhile.

If you have a tendency to need a little extra lighting that can move around with you, you’ll like this tiny light. It clips onto whatever you need, be it a book, your laptop or a monitor. It would be especially great for those that travel, because it would be easy to toss into your laptop bag or suitcase. It’s also an attractive light, which is rare for book lights.
