This cable is specifically designed for Garmin Nuvi, StreetPilot, Zumo GPS receivers. It will power and charge your Garmin GPS receiver at the same time. It utilizes a proprietary 18-pin connector that connects either directly to the GPS or through the Garmin cradle.

3 Stars Does not fit Zumo 550.
The Zumo 500 and Zumo 550 look almost identical, but they have different connectors. The Zumo 500 uses an 18-pin flat plug (which this product has), but the Zumo 550 uses a USB mini-B style plug. I couldn’t use it since it didn’t fit, so I can’t comment on its performance.

5 Stars Gilsson GHS-12V Cigarette Lighter Adapter
Great product. Fits and works with my Garmin StreetPilot C530. No problems with shipment/receipt of item.

5 Stars Garmin 760 power cord
My dog chewed up my Garmin power cord for my Nuvi 760 while I was at school, so I bought this one. It arrived in a couple of days and works perfectly.

1 Star It TOOK 7 days to be “ready to be shipped” by AMAZON
Not worth the trouble. The item was “in stock” but took 7 days for amazon to ship the item. No help from costumer service. Plus, another 8 days with good old free shipping to get it. So don’t buy it unless you can wait 15 days or more to get it.

5 Stars A Great Replacement
I purchased a Garmin Nuvi and have been using it for several months. One problem I encountered is that the end of the 12V (cigarette lighter) adapter came unscrewed and the parts inside fell out–a spring, fuse, etc. The second time this happened I couldn’t find all of the parts so the cable was useless! I purchased this cable as a replacement and it seems to fit and work perfectly with the Garmin.

Still learning the device after converting from my Palm device. Some features of Palm are better, but overall very happy with the iPAQ. Wish that you could password protect individual items rather than the entire device. Having problems with sync in that it syncs well for awhile, then has to have a soft reset before it will sync again. Appears to be slower than the Palm.

Every Garmin product is designed to meet the most demanding standard: customers’ satisfaction. That’s why Garmin equipment is manufactured to give you reliable service for years to come, with intuitive features you can grow into over time – all at a price you can afford. Fits perfectly For nuvi 200- 250 – 260 – 270 – 350 – 360 – 370 Personal Travel Assistants

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars GARMIN nuvi 255 case
This case is a perfect fit for the Garmin nuvi 255. There is no need for a strap to hold the unit in the case, as it is a nice snug fit. Perhaps a “belt loop” would have been nice, but if you are looking for a case to protect your GPS when you put it in a purse or glove compartment this one will do the job.

2 Stars Overpriced, but what choice do you have?
I’m giving this item 2-stars mainly based upon price. At the time of my purchase, this item is over $12.00. It’s a small case that is made in China (what isn’t these days) which probably cost around $1.00 to produce. I which other companies would come out with alternative cases. The only one I find is from Case Logic and is over 10-inches long, so it will not fit in many glove compartments, though you can put the power cord inside it. I purchased this case simply because I didn’t see another option.

I find it amusing that on the back of the package is written “Durable case protects your GPS and keeps all accessories together. KEEPS ALL ACCESSORIES TOGETHER??? I guess someone in China wrote that also and it got mixed-up in translation.

5 Stars Garmin case
We found the case to be convenient. You just have to remember to put the Garmin in the case “face down” so you keep your fingers off the top switch when time to take it out.

1 Star Pretty, but your GPS will fall out of this case
I own two Garmin Nuvi’s a 670 and 765. This particular case came as standard equipment with the 670. The first one allowed that 670 to drop out of the case if the open end was ever pointed anywhere near down. Gravity pulled that GPS out of there many times. I lost the original equpiment one, and replaced it with a newer version of this case. The GPS fit was a bit more snug, but the GPS could still slip out.

If you always carry your GPS with the open end of the case between parallel and vertical to the ground, this is a gorgeous useful case. If you are like most people, and sometimes let things go random directions, well your GPS will land on the floor.

In addition, the little open pouch you see on the front of this unit, absolutely nothing fits inside there. I think you might get a piece of paper to fit in there, but certainly no SD cards (unless you want this hideous bulge on the outside of the case). That is certainly a major waste of fine leather.

One positive thing about this case, the leather is nice.

Look for the Garmin carrying case with the flap. That one will never ever let your GPS fall out.

4 Stars Fits the need – snug fit – watch the power switch!
What can I say – it is a case. My Nuvi fits snugly inside and looks fine. Not sure it affords much protection in terms of cushion, but it will save the screen from other objects in the pocket or my wife’s purse.

Only annoyance: you really need to watch how you put the Nuvi in or you will inadvertently switch it on. The switch side needs to be by the opening.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Product as advertised
I have had my computer for a while now. I must have read 300 reviews before making my mind up to purchase. The battery time was the most important feature to me. This computer is everything promised and more. If you have been thinking about buying this model DO IT you won’t be sorry.

Also my experience with Amazon was terrific as expected. It is so easy to order I ended up pushing the order button twice. When I got my 2nd acknowledgment in the middle of the night I sent an E-mail and someone called me RIGHT BACK. Both orders were already in process and couldn’t be stopped. They told me to refuse the second one and they would credit my account when they got it back. No problems whatever.

I ordered the blue one although there were comments about finger prints. It is not that bad and I am glad I got that color.

5 Stars Excellent Eee PC 1000HE Netbook
I purchased the ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10-Inch Netbook (1.66 GHz Intel Atom N280 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB Eee Storage, Bluetooth, XP Home, 9.5 Hour Battery Life) Blue

Netbook in March 2009. I upgraded to 2 GB of RAM with no problem. I use this netbook to transcribe my recorded class notes and for internet access. I am very happy with my purchase. I looked at several netbooks in this price range and decided on the Eee PC because of the keyboard and the battery life. The keyboard on the Asus Eee PC is a scaled-down duplication of the keyboard on my larger/heavier HP laptop. I like the feel of the larger ergonomic chiclet keyboard and the right shift key is in the correct place for typing. The mouse pad location causes the mouse pointer to jump around when I rest my wrists on the edge of the keyboard, so I try to either not do that or disable the mouse pad and use a USB mouse instead. The long battery life is for real!!!! This netbook travels everywhere with me as it is my primary tool for internet communication. It fits very nicely in a shoulder bag that measures 9 inches tall, 13 inches long, and 5 inches thick (9×13x5). In this bag I also carry the power cord and the USB mouse. As I said, it is a shoulder bag that is very easy (and light) to carry and it also fits into my motorcycle saddle bags. Although the blue Eee PC shows fingerprints, I love the color. I have no problems picking up network connections wherever I go. Compared to the other computers/laptops I use in my life, this one is slower to connect to and surf the internet with. For me, that was a small trade-off. I am running Windows XP and the Bluetooth mouse I purchased did not work well, so I returned it and use a USB mouse or the mouse pad. It was a good purchase that I would do again.

5 Stars Exactly as I hoped it would be
I received my new Asus EEE1000HE last week and so far am very pleased.

It is almost as fast as my larger Lenovo T42 laptop, but has even more hard drive memory. I will be taking this with on long distance motorcycle trips with very little room to pack a bigger laptop, and will now be able to do a little work when I get free time. The battery life is exceptionally good even with the bluetooth and the webcam turned on. The keyboard is a comfortable size and easy to operate, though the trackpad buttons are a little stiff.

If you are looking for a good portable computer, I recommend the Asus EEE 1000HE.

I will be installing a 2 gig ram, soon, but it works well as it came out of the box.

5 Stars ASUS EeePC
I bought the EeePC to use when traveling. I got tired of having to go to the cities’ library and wait to use their machines. This PC rocks!!!! It is so easy to use. I especially like how fast it responds. Never having used a netbook before I’m still getting used to the light touch. I would highly recommend ASUS to anyone who wants a light, fast machine that doesn’t take a 2 pound manual to learn to use.

5 Stars Best Netbook out there!
After reading all the good things about the Netbook, I had to get it.

First, it is lightweight and portable. Some sacrafices are made for this size. There is no DVD drive or number pad on this unit. If you need those items, go for a much larger Notebook. That being said, this Netbook is great! Yes, I did install the 2 GB of 667Mhz memory. That was one easy upgrade. Next, I wanted to see how it worked on a newer version of Windows so I installed Windows 7 on the second partition “D” drive. The 160 GB hard drive is already split in two so I figured that was perfect for my test. The best thing is, you don’t need an external DVD drive to install the OS. You just download Magic Disc,

( http://www.magiciso.com/index.htm ) and it will make a virtual DVD drive for you. Then mount the iso on the virtual DVD drive and install! Very easy. I haven’t tried to mount a DVD movie on there yet but I think it will work. Just need an 8GB Flash drive to transfer it.

Anyway, I love the keyboard and controls. Not worried about fingerprints on the outside. This Netbook is a “Take anywhere you go” unit that is very fast and portable. Well worth every dollar. Runs Windows XP and Windows 7 RC like a charm with no problems. One thing to do is if you run it without an ac adaptor, the backlight will go down and make it hard to see. Just press fn plus F6 and it will lighten up as you wish. I highly recomend this unit.
