4 Stars Works
Takes a charge, works in device – how long the power lasts remains to be seen, but at the price if it approximates 75% of the OEM battery I’ll be satisfied.

4 Stars Works!
Well, what can I say, it works! Don’t know whether it’s better, the same, or worse than the stock battery. I just alternated the batteries each day and then used the camera. One didn’t seem better than the other. In fact, to be honest, unless you do a TON of diving and recording I’m not 100% sure you’ll even need the extra battery. I shot a LOT of underwater video and never got the “low battery” message. But I guess it’s not a bad idea to be prepared.

5 Stars It works the same as the original Sanyo battery
I made a 2 1/2 hours non stop video taping yesterday, the original Sanyo battery low signal came out around 55 minutes, and die around 75 minutes. this battery came out around 55 minutes after I put it into my Sanyo Xacti camera, die around 75 minutes too.

5 Stars good backup battery
I bought this for a Sanyo Xacti E2. I haven’t done any rigid testing to compare against the original Sanyo battery’s life, but I also didn’t notice any difference in battery life while using it. Highly recommended as a solid backup battery.

4 Stars Fits VPC-e2!
I’ve bought a few DB-L20 “compatible” batteries to work with my xacti vpc-e2. NONE of them worked. They were all slightly too large and became lodged in my camera. It took pliers to remove them!

So when I saw this battery I was skeptical becuse it doesn’t flat out say that it is compatible with the vpc-e2. I saw a review that said it works with it, so I thought I would give it a try…

It fits! So if you own a vpc-e2 and don’t want to spend $40 for an official sanyo battery, i recommend it! It actually slides in and out better than the stock battery. I haven’t checked how long it holds a charge yet, so I can’t comment on that. I’m just happy I found a battery that fits!

4 Stars overall good value
bought this for hawaii trip. pictures were decent (my cameras clarity is far better but this was expected). the view finder flips over so we were able to center ourselves when taking our own pictures which was nice. loved that we did not have to worry about sand ruining it and were able to rinse it off and go. exceeded my expectations with underwater filming and photos. great little product, very durable. gave it 4 stars because everyone else seemed to have difficulty focusing it and the pictures would come out so blurry or not at all.

5 Stars Great camera for the price
We love this camera!! It’s so compact, light, waterproof and takes still photos too. Great recreational camera at a great price.

4 Stars ready to catch all the summer fun
took this to a family gathering last weekend and everyone thought it was very cool that we could splash around in the pool and capture all the fun in video. Could be a little quicker on the boot and captue of still images – but overall a great item i’m glad i got.

4 Stars Perfect for what we wanted it for!
We purchased this camera to take along on our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. Primarily, I wanted something to take snorkeling, but I found myself using the camera as an all-purpose camera as well. It’s nice to know that as it started to rain, there was no need to worry about the camera.

The video is good quality for TV and a great quality for web. The camera is easy to use with very little learning curve. I purchased an 8 GB SDHC card to go with it and found that was plenty for goofing around the resort during the day. We’d download and clear it each night to a laptop and start fresh again the next day.

Some cons… The menu is a little quirky and the battery does not last very long at all. Some of the button placement could have been improved to make shooting easier, but that’s minor. It’s probably just a matter of me getting used to it. Also, no lens cap or cover. I knew this when I purchased it, but it’s still a con.

All in all, for a couple hundred dollars, this camera gives a LOT of bang for the buck. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile vacation camera.

4 Stars Handy
Small, compact. Great for slipping in your pocket. I used it for Disneyworld and it worked fine except for the darker shots. With no light, it didn’t really show many details. But for outdoor shots – quick and easy. Picture quality is OK – about the same as my Super 8mm. Don’t expect super, clear video. It’s acceptable.

Sanyo’s XACTI DMX-HD800

One of the best video cameras for bloggers, the XACTI DMX-HD700 from Sanyo is getting an update. Not sure if it was needed but the fact that we have a new gadget to play with it’s great.
