User Ratings and Reviews
4 Stars Works Well For iPhone, but Lacks Button
I like the fit and the quality of the sound. The only minor downside to the unit is that it does not have a button to answer/hang up/pause song and there is no audio feedback through the headset when you are on the phone. I paid less than $40 so I think I still got a good deal since the quality of the sound and noise isolation is very good. The cord is little thicker than most, but I hope that will make it last long since I am hard on headsets since I use them all the time on my motorcycle, mountain bike, and just out for a walk. The cords loop over the ear and stay there most of the time. The headset connects to the phone with a right angle connector and is heavy duty in design. I would recommend these to any iPhone user as long as they are not use to using the pause button like on the Apple and most of the other headsets, but have a great sound for the price.
4 Stars a bit heavy
good sound quality..good mic. The unit is a bit heavy in the ear, but a fine headset
3 Stars Beware: No Answer/Off Click Button
These sound pretty good, but they’re missing my favorite feature of the stock iPhone earbuds – the click button on the cord that allows you to pause the iPod and answer a call without touching the phone. I guess this is what “iPhone compatible” means.
These also require the cord to wrap around the top of your ear, which is slightly uncomfortable after a while.
4 Stars Great set for wind noise
I own a convertible, and have tried about a dozen wired and wireless headsets over the last three or four months looking for one that I can use with my top down. I have tried the Z9, the Z9i, both jawbones, and a few less commonly known sets. This set is by far the best for dealing with wind noise. It puts the mic inside a tube a few inches down from the right earpiece, which seems to create a windless cavity for the mic. It is by no means perfect, but it is pretty darned good. There are some issues with how the earpieces fit in the ear. The set is designed to have the wires loop over the tops of each ear and around the back side. The headset comes with three different sizes of earplugs though, and I find it works better for me to use the next size up of plugs so they fit snugly, and then let the wires hang down like most other headsets do.
3 Stars Agree with the other “average” ratings
The sound quality is really quite good. But the heavy duty cord, bulky mic, and oddly shaped & unbalanced speaker housings lead to my earbuds constantly falling out of my ears. Probably a great set if you are going to use them while just sitting at your desk – but if you want a pair of headphones you can use while you know – walk around – these aren’t the pair.
